It was my first time to El Cajon. The Can-Am Spyder Roadster program is giving me an opportunity to get out, socialize, and experience new things. Riding the Spyder and it's "Y" architecture is unlike anything I've ever done. It provides the high performance thrill with the fusion of safety and stability. The best of both worlds married together on three wheels!
Cruising the Sypder down Main Street was interesting. The town has weekly WED gatherings; each with its own theme. This week was a 50's type throw back. They played 50's music and I saw many 50 style cars parked along the street. "Lollipop, lollipop, oh lolli lolli lolli lollipop".
There were no spaces to park so I did a loop and then parked up on the side walk next to the Starbucks. It was located right on the corner where everyone walked by and/or hit up the joint for a java or latte. I got one myself and sat near the Sypder. Many passersby came up and asked me questions. They seemed very into cars/motor bikes. It was an educated crowd. I'm guessing 100 or so folks saw the Spyder; I spoke with and gave literature to 30ish.
The interest was high. One guy spent 15 minutes with me and said he was definitely going to purchase one. Another older gentleman said he's retired from motorcycles but up for the 3-wheeled approach. He love the stability you get with the Can-Am Spyder and would feel more at ease on the open road with such as ride.
